Weather in Florida can be unpredictable. Thankfully, there are a number of things to do on a rainy day in Destin and along 30A. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite rainy day activities for you to enjoy when the weather just won’t cooperate.

Emerald Coast Science Center: Explore exhibits ranging from the final frontier to our local Emerald Coast ecosystems. The center also hosts more mature events like ‘Sip & Science’ where guests can grab a drink and get lost under the stars!
Museums
Destin History & Fishing Museum: Learn more about Destin and how it became the World’s Luckiest Fishing Village at this fun, locally-owned museum by the Harbor.
Indian Temple Mound Museum: Learn about the history of Native Americans with exhibits depicting 12,000 years of Native American occupation. This museum is home to over 1,000 artifacts of stone, bone, clay, shell and prehistoric ceramics.
Air Force Armament Museum: This is the only museum in the world dedicated to the collection, preservation, and exhibition of Air Force armament. Plus admission is FREE!
Movies and Shopping
Destin Commons: Take shelter from the rain at the Destin Commons. There are a number of entertainment, dining and shopping options at this award-winning lifestyle center. This includes the AMC Theater and Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl and Grill.
Silver Sands Outlet Mall: Treat yourself at Silver Sands Outlet Mall in Miramar Beach. Here you will find stores like Saks Off 5th Avenue, Kate Spade, Nike, Columbia, and more!
Grand Boulevard: Visit Santa Rosa Beach’s newest shopping center. Find everything from big-box retailers like Pottery Barn and Anthropologie and local shops including The Zoo Gallery.
Local Antique Shops- Spend the day hunting for treasures and exciting finds. The Destin area is home to many antique shops! Antiques On Holiday, Flutterby Antiques Uniques, and De’france Indoor Flea Market Antiques are just a few!
