1. McGuire’s Irish Pub of Destin
Coming in at number one- McGuire’s Irish Pub. You are in for a treat at this Destin staple. With a unique atmosphere and delicious food, McGuire’s serves delicious Irish dishes (most famously known for their steaks) and brews their own beer in-house. The atmosphere is memorable with over a million signed dollar bills covering the walls and ceilings of the restaurant. Not to mention, visitors can expect live music nightly!
2. The Back Porch
This seafood and oyster house first opened its doors in 1974 and instantly made a name for itself by serving up savory flavors and some of the best Gulf views in all of Destin. This restaurant remains one of the few places to eat that sits directly on the sandy shores of what once was Old 98.

3. Boshamps Seafood & Oyster House
Located on the Destin harbor, Boshamps Seafood & Oyster House is coming in at number three. This restaurant attracts visitors with its delicious seafood and relaxing ambiance over the harbor. You can expect fresh and local seafood here, plus the oysters are huge!
4. Dewey Destin’s
This special restaurant was founded by the Destin family! Destin, Florida was founded by this special family in 1835. In the early 2000’s, “Dewey Destin along with his wife Rebecca, his sister Nina, and all the kids focused their energies on running two retail seafood stores and concentrated on providing the highest quality fish to the local inhabitants and restaurants of the surrounding area. Dewey’s knowledge of fish and how it is best served led to expanding the Destin market into this small, specialized restaurant.” The History of Dewey’s

5. Pompano Joe’s
Lastly, coming in at number five, we have Pompano Joe’s. Known for its fresh, affordable seafood and Caribbean flair, Pompano Joe’s is anything but typical. It’s a neighborhood spot — a place where you’re likely to find as many locals as you do tourists. It’s one of the few beachfront restaurants on Old 98 with plenty of parking. It also offers the convenience of two walk-up bars, one of which sits directly on the beach.
